Dear Parents and Guardians:

My staff and I would like to welcome you to our Broadleigh Family! Broadleigh's Vision is to provide a caring and engaging environment where children will recognize and achieve their full potential academically and socially. Our goal is to work in partnership with you in order to provide the best educational experience possible for your child. Last school year we made great improvements! We reached our Literacy goals of at least one year's growth and decreased suspensions by 50 percent. In cooperation with all of you, we are looking forward to another successful year!

SAVE THE DATE!

On Monday, August 21 from 4:00-6:00 PM, Broadleigh will host a Back to School Bash in the cafeteria! This is a fantastic opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, learn about our academic and social skills programs, receive free school supplies and have some snacks. We hope to see you there!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

The school day for all students is 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM. It is very important that your child comes to school on time and is prepared for learning. It is also crucial that your child attend school on time every day!

Please make sure your child comes prepared for the first day of school with paper and pencils. All students should have a backpack to carry important messages and homework back and forth each day! General supply lists are posted on our school’s website, http://broadleighes.ccsoh.us/. If you are unable to provide the required backpack for your child, please contact the school office.

EMERGENCY CARDS

Emergency Cards must be returned the first day of school.  State Law prohibits any child from being in a school building without a valid Emergency Card on file.

BUS RIDERS

Bus stop, route number, and times will be sent to you sometime during the week of August 14. If the information you receive is incorrect, please call the school to make changes as soon as possible. Please do not wait until the first day of school.

If your child will ride the bus, you must have an adult at the bus stop to pick up your child. The bus drivers will not release any kindergarten students without an adult at the bus stop. Your child should be at the bus stop five minutes before the scheduled pick-up time and should wait a fair amount of time in case the bus is running late. The first few days of school are hectic, especially if a driver is new on the route. Please be patient.
